EMDR Therapy for Dissociative Disorders - Online Webinar
After early cautions about the potential dangers of using EMDR with clients who have dissociative disorders, EMDR therapists often feel unsure about how or if to approach trauma reprocessing with this client population. They may fear causing harm, which can result in postponing or avoiding EMDR trauma reprocessing work with dissociative clients. On the flip side, EMDR therapists may prematurely dive into using EMDR standard procedures with severely dissociative clients without adequately assessing for dissociation or pacing treatment. This risks premature penetration of dissociative barriers, which may result in flooding, rapid destabilisation, and the uncontrolled emergence of dissociative parts or traumatic material. Current consensus is that the EMDR Therapy can be used successfully to treat clients with dissociative disorders. However, standard EMDR procedures need to be modified and integrated with other interventions to ensure safe and effective treatment of dissociative disorders.
In this webinar you will learn principles for adapting EMDR Therapy to work with dissociative clients, interventions that can be used from early in the preparation phase, how to weave ‘parts work’ throughout EMDR Therapy, micro-processing strategies to titrate trauma reprocessing, and safeguards to put in place to ensure client safety and positive treatment outcomes. There will be a strong emphasis on embedding learning into clinical practice and opportunities for questions, reflection and discussion.

EMDR Therapy Case Conceptualisation and Target Selection - Online Webinar
Case conceptualisation is a cornerstone of EMDR Therapy. Drawing on the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) Model, it is the process through which the EMDR therapist and client collaboratively make sense of the client’s presenting concerns in the context of their life experiences. A clear case formulation leads to a well-developed EMDR target sequence and treatment plan, which leads to successful treatment outcomes. EMDR therapists often struggle with case conceptualisation. When treating complex presentations, it can be tricky to know where to start, what to target, and in what order. This can lead to ad hoc processing or targeting ‘the issue of the week’ rather than following a coherent treatment plan, which often results in incomplete targets, unpredictable clinical gains, or a lack of therapeutic progress.
In this webinar, you will learn how to conceptualise clinical presentations through the lens of the AIP Model, and how to confidently develop a clear target sequencing plan that is underpinned by a solid case formulation. You will be taught several target selection methods and case conceptualisation tools that you can immediately start using with your clients. There will be a strong emphasis on embedding learning into clinical practice and opportunities for questions, reflection and discussion.

Troubleshooting in EMDR Therapy - Online Webinar
EMDR therapy doesn’t always quite go to plan! Trauma reprocessing can be unpredictable and there will inevitably be some bumps along the way, particularly when treating complex client presentations.
This webinar will focus on building your confidence to overcome common challenges in EMDR therapy including knowing where to start, assessing how much resourcing work is required, identifying what to target and in what order, responding to blocks and barriers, and managing abreactions. There will be a strong emphasis on embedding learning into clinical practice and lots of opportunities for questions, reflection and discussion.

EMDR Therapy for Anxiety and Phobias - Online Webinar
Anxiety disorders and phobias are highly prevalent and commonly seen in clinical practice. EMDR therapy is highly applicable to the treatment of anxiety and phobias. It is a three-pronged approach that addresses not only past traumatic events underpinning anxiety, but also current life triggers and fears about the future.
In this webinar, you will learn how to conceptualise anxiety and phobias from an EMDR framework, ideas for target selection and sequencing, and how to work in the ‘present’ and ‘future’ prongs in EMDR therapy by applying the Flashforward Procedure (Logie and de Jongh), and installing future templates.
Consideration will also be given to the integration of EMDR therapy with other therapeutic interventions such as graded exposure and behavioural experiments. There will be opportunities for questions, reflection and discussion.
The webinar will be recorded and sent to all registered participants after the event.

EMDR Therapy and Advanced Parts Work - Online Webinar
Identifying and working with the ego states or dissociative parts of a client's personality is a key treatment component for complex trauma and dissociation. Therapeutic blocks and challenges in EMDR therapy can often be successfully addressed by integrating a parts-oriented approach.
This advanced webinar will consolidate and build on what was covered in Caroline’s previously delivered ‘EMDR and Parts Work’ webinar. There will be a focus on advanced skills in assessing dissociation and working therapeutically with dissociative parts, voices and phobias, with the aim of supporting clients to increase daily functioning, safely reprocess trauma and work toward integration.
There will be a strong emphasis on embedding these concepts into your EMDR clinical practice with dissociative clients, and ample time for questions and discussion.
The webinar will be recorded and sent to all registered participants after the event.

EMDR Therapy for Addictions - Online Webinar
Addictions are a common co-morbidity for clients who have experienced trauma, and can present a complex puzzle for therapists. It can be tricky to discern how much stabilisation is required, and what to target first - addictive urges / behaviours, or the trauma underlying the addiction?
In this webinar, you will learn how to conceptualise addictions from an EMDR therapy framework, assess a client’s readiness for trauma reprocessing, select appropriate targets, and how to confidently apply the DeTUR Protocol (Popky) and Feeling State Addiction Protocol (Miller) in your EMDR clinical practice. There will be opportunities for questions, reflection and discussion.
The webinar will be recorded and sent to all registered participants after the event.

EMDR Therapy for Attachment Trauma - Online Webinar
A common misconception about EMDR therapy is that it is only effective for treating single incident trauma. There have been significant new developments in EMDR therapy since its inception, and there are now many ways to modify standard EMDR procedures to effectively treat developmental and attachment-based trauma. EMDR therapists commonly feel unsure about how to do this, and the question "where do I start?" often comes up in case consultation sessions. This webinar will address this very issue!
You will learn how to conceptualise attachment trauma through the lens of the Adaptive Information Processing Model, ideas for target selection and sequencing, stabilisation and resourcing strategies, and how to adapt the standard EMDR protocol to safely reprocess attachment trauma. There will be opportunities for questions, reflection and discussion.

EMDR and Parts Work Online Webinar
Identifying and working with the parts (ego states) of a client's personality is a key treatment component for complex trauma and dissociation. Therapeutic blocks and challenges in EMDR therapy with these clients can often be successfully addressed by integrating a parts-oriented approach. However, many EMDR therapists feel unsure about how to do this, and the question "how do I work with a client's parts?" often comes up in case consultation sessions. This webinar will address this very issue!
There will be a focus on the theory of structural dissociation of the personality, Fraser's Dissociative Table Technique, and a range of parts interventions to increase your confidence to identify a client's parts, work therapeutically with parts, and overcome common blocks and defences that arise during EMDR trauma reprocessing. There will be a strong emphasis on integrating these concepts into your EMDR clinical practice.
The webinar will be recorded and sent to all registered participants after the event.
