EMDR Therapy for Borderline Personality Disorder Online Webinar

Overview

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) can present significant therapeutic challenges in clinical practice. In this webinar, you will learn how to conceptualise BPD through the lens of the Adaptive Information Processing Model and ideas for target selection and sequencing, stabilisation strategies, working with ‘parts’, and adapting the standard EMDR protocol to safely reprocess complex trauma. There will be opportunities for questions, reflection, small group discussion and case consultation.

PLEASE NOTE: This webinar is suitable only for therapists who have previously undertaken EMDR Basic Training. It does not constitute an EMDR Basic Training Program.

Structure

It can be hard to sit in front of a computer screen for hours at a time, so the event will be optimised to ensure that you get the most out of the experience. It will be structured as 2 x 90 minute webinar segments (1-2:30pm and 3:30-5pm AEDT) with 60 minutes in between (2:30-3:30pm AEDT) for individual reflection on the webinar topic. There will be a strong emphasis on integrating new knowledge into your clinical practice.

Recording

Not sure if you can participate on the day? No worries at all, the webinar will be recorded and sent to all registered participants after the event, along with the presentation slides and accompanying resources. So you can engage in the training at any time that suits you. You'll also have ongoing access to the recording so that you can re-watch the webinar down the track to consolidate and refresh your learning.
