Caroline & Associates

Accredited EMDR Trainer and Consultant

Caroline Burrows

I am an Accredited EMDR Trainer and Consultant, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, and Psychotherapist. I have 20 years of experience across community, hospital, medical, and university settings. I currently provide innovative EMDR training and consultation and clinical supervision to mental health professionals across Australia and abroad. I am also the Owner and Director of Mindful Living Counselling and Psychology a clinic in Melbourne where I lead a team of highly skilled and passionate EMDR therapists. As the EMDR Coordinator at The Melbourne Clinic and The Victoria Clinic, I developed the first inpatient hospital EMDR programs in Victoria.

EMDR therapy is a transformative therapeutic modality and the results it achieves are truly life changing. I am told that I have an infectious enthusiasm for EMDR therapy! I love my work. It is so inspiring to encourage, motivate and mentor therapists as they embrace the opportunities that EMDR therapy brings.

As a proud late-diagnosed ADHDer, I’m passionate about creating inclusive, neurodiverse-affirming learning environments. In my role as a trainer, I aim to model authenticity and inclusivity – sharing my own journey with ADHD from the outset, fidget toy in hand and quirky humour on display!

Outside of work, I am an animal lover. Besotted, you may say. My favourite things to do are to spend time with my beloved dog Willow, have a good laugh and share meals with my wonderful friends and family. If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you’ll discover I also have a fondness for flamingos.
